God in the ordinary

Made me think of how very ordinary Bible translation is, checking and rechecking day in and day out. It only seems really interesting when we go back to our churches and tell about it--the why, the how, the challenges, the defeats, the victories. The broad view helps us remember what it is we're doing and why. But when we're over here doing it day after day, its not terribly glamorous. And that's not so bad, if only we can learn contentment in the ordinary.
